Zomg what an exhausting weekend. Friday night straight after work we headed over to Zouk, it was members night which meant free drinks and a damn gatal waiter, then to Barsonic cause we haven't been there for yonks - we were dying for some non-commercial music and I was there to see Juria for the last time :( Danced and jumped around in my high high heels, which was a fucking workout for my calves I tell you.
Anyway I digress. I wanted to post about my Saturday. I had to go to work in the afternoon (boo) cause my colleague gave me some last minute shit to do - and yeah I did scream at him for that and now he owes me a bottle haha - but all was good when night time finally came and we headed over to the
KL Twestival at Mist Club, Bangsar.
The KL Twestival was organized by a group of volunteers (Suan and Ling were in it too) and is part of the world wide Twitter-festival celebration. Ya damn geeky right but what the hell the internetz rules our lives now. All profits go to a charity of their choice, and seriously a big up to the organizers for getting RM11,000 for Destiny Starting Point!
Okay enough of the formal info lah, it just sounds damn boring when I do it and you can go to their website if you're like damn curious about what it is and who's in it and all. On to the more exciting stuff like my damn personal experience at Twestival okay.
So like, just so you know I'm not going to kiss all of the sponsors' asses, just the ones I like i.e. the ones who gave us useful free shit. Like Tiger (free booze! hello!), 1901 for the yummylicious hotdogs and New Zealand ice cream (free expensive ice cream! yay!), I mean who doesn't like free food and drinks right.Oh and Mist Club for the location although they did have some stupid ass rule about having the right to kick people out at 10pm if they're not dressed properly! I had a maxi dress on and flip flops but my feet were hidden so ya I wasn't kicked out hahaha
Anyway! We arrived at 8:40pm, grabbed a hot dog, grabbed some drinks, and danced for like 5 minutes to TAG (DJ Ribut spinned, who still owes me a song) and then the emcee came on stage. Damn
potong stim ok, we were like having fun and going around saying hi's and then ZAP! music stopped and some vampire-looking guy came on stage. No offense to his fans (ahem suan ahem) but under the bright lights he did look like a vampire with the pale face and eye bags ok. I think his name is Will somethingsomething, I don't know, is he a dj or vj or actor? Nevermind.
So yeah he went on and on and on I'm sorry but the lucky draw and the auctioning thing was wayyyy too long. I liked the online auction part, maybe most of the auction should've been online-based instead, and the lucky draws should've been done in slots instead of all at one shot. Standing there listening to the emcee going 'Anyone going over RM50?!' five million times for an hour isn't that fun. They only stopped talking at like, 9:50pm..and the Twestival ended at 10 pm..so like no time to mingle and dance with other people cause everyone went off after 10! (Except for the few of us who were stuck on the dance floor, that is.)
Oh, and the worse part of the night for me was during the lucky draw. I was damn excited at first cause the prizes were like, a fucking Lenovo desktop, buffet dinner at Hotel Maya, a professional photography session etc, so I was like fuck I have a cool number (69!), I must win something!! And I did! Some white guy called out my number and I was damn happy, jumped up and down a few times first then went to the stage to get my fucking prize!! And when I saw this small white box in my hands I went from a happy hyper energizer bunny to this ugly gremlin in one second flat. I got a fucking tumbler! What the fuck! I mean, come on, Boost Juice, not only is that tumbler in the ugliest color possible I wouldn't even be caught dead holding that in public, it is also kind of DAMN cheapass of you guys to 'sponsor' a tumbler for a charity event right? At least give me some voucher or some shit like New Zealand Natural did, some lucky bitch got a year's pass for NZ ice cream! Imagine that! So yeah I went
WHATHEFUCKNESS damn ugly tumbler! and I was damn unhappy (which everyone thought was hilarious since I was fucking excited when my number was called)

And apparently some Boost Juice person was creeping behind my back or something cause now they're pissed off that I don't like their damn tumbler. I AM SO NOT KIDDING YOU LOL. Like hello that's what you get when you 'sponsor' a fugly tumbler, you will get an angry elf. If you have no moniez for a fucking free voucher then get a nice looking tumbler lah, the silver metallic kind that Starbucks has, not the ugly vomit green you have. Also am I like in fucking Congo or something where dictatorship rules?! No I am not so I can voice out my dissatisfaction whenever I want to!(except when it comes to politics lah thanks to ISA)
All in all it was still pretty fun with mah beeches and hoes. Not a lot of pictures cause my camera died and Lu and Jun still haven't posted any yet ZzzzZZzz sorry lah I'm not a very good blogger cause I'm too lazy to post pictures here. Once again
two thumbs up for the Twestival team for organizing this -fucking volunteer work is no joke - and getting free food and beer for us teehee

Reta,
Suan of Twestival, and a happy Elf (thanks to Tiger, no thanks to Boost)
I was going to add in a paragraph or two about some fashion victims that night but like what the fuck I've written so much crap, the last time I wrote so much was when I bitched about the Malaysian Dreamgirls bullshit last year haha so maybe I'll write another post on that or maybe not cause not sure if I should since some people will be damn
terasa and start going Bin Laden on me or something.
